All you need is FAITH

Daily Devotionals 📖

on October 8, 2016

We are often felt we must do God work, go out and do this or do that, serve, volunteer, and be busy for Him, but He doesn’t expect nor does he want that for us!!!!! He doesn’t want us to be in a constant state of busyness and or putting everything or everyone before Him. While He wants us to do good works for Him and to bring others to Him for his glory, we can’t be many places at once. This world is not ran by one person, it’s done so by many and sometimes we have to delegate…. allow others to help and or help others, but don’t bombard your day or make your schedule so packed up assisting that you start to resent others or feeling like you don’t want to be around this person or people because they ask too much of you and yet, you can’t seem to get help when you need it, so many situations I’m certain can play out …. there has to be a good balance. You can serve and help and still say “no” when it’s enough or you just can’t do it….

We aren’t doing Gods work if we aren’t staying connected to Him.   ✝️

“”Works of the flesh” are things we do without God’s power flowing through us. They are difficult, they drain us, and they produce no joy or fulfillment. They are often good things, but not ‘God things.'” – Joyce Meyer

💔 Sin = selfishness 💔

I learned that from a friend a while ago and this is truth… being selfish, being about “me” and not focusing on being obedient. Sinless life isn’t something we can have because perfection isn’t something that is apart of our nature, it’s not natural, and we are human, our flesh is going to fail us, time and time again. But we can sin less…. did you catch that???? Yes, we can, we can in fact work towards that goal…. but don’t allow anyone around you and especially Satan to keep you from believing you can make these changes…

Here is a few pointers Rick Warren has for us:

“You will never be sinless on this planet, but it is possible to sin less. So why is it so hard to change stuff in us that we really don’t like?” – Rick Warren

1) Because we’ve had our defects so long. Some were developed in childhood.

2) Because we identify with our defects. You allow yourself to see this as your identity.

3) Because our defects have a payoff. Whatever is rewarded gets repeated.

4) Because Satan discourages us. Once you start to work on something in your life that you want to change, Satan starts saying, “Who do you think you are?

Don’t let Satan steal your identity…. or anyone else for that matter …..
