All you need is FAITH

Daily Devotional 10/14

on October 15, 2016

In adversity, I know I have been one to lean away from God and I have been one to lean on Him. I’m learning more and more to lean on Him in the good the bad and the quiet. We take leaps of faith and sometimes they work out and sometimes they take their own plan for a path we didn’t expect. Our responsibility is to be obedient and to follow through…. God doesn’t always answer our prayers nor do what we “hear” always take us down the path we expect or intend that we could or would take. Jail. Accidents. Death. Loss of a loved one. I can’t imagine what you have been down in your life, but I pray you’re seeing the one true God that can take your troubles and transform them, that can take them from you! Pray. Speak to Him and let Him know what you’re request is, personal or not, He’s listening!   He’s waiting to hear from you!

“God shows you His design for your life. He whets your appetite for all He has planned. Excitement overwhelms you as you sit on the edge of your seat. Then you wait.” – Wendy Pope

“You pray. You anoint with oil. You pray some more. Then you wait…. some more….” – Wendy Pope

Sin = selfishness

Adam and Eve, while naked, unashamed and unclothed before they sinned, was thought to have been open and honest in their presence and form how they presented themselves. But once they sinned, they hid, they KNEW they were naked and became ashamed how they were presented to each other and couldn’t stand being on front of each other in this manner. How much changed over eating from the “tree of knowledge.” The forbidden fruit!

Don’t be stuck in the rut of feeling ashamed like Adam and Eve! Jesus took this from us once he died on the cross for us! Pray, ask for forgiveness and let him reveal a sense of peace that only HE can give you!

“If not for the work Jesus did on the cross, all of us would have to live with the overwhelming shame of sin. But because of His sacrifice, mankind has the opportunity to enjoy perfect freedom with one another and with God.” – Joyce Meyer

Sin…. it has caused some chaos and has led many people astray….

“Sin has ruined everything. Sin has destroyed everything. Sin has corrupted and spoiled everything. Sin has injured everything — every relationship, idea, dream, and human body. Everything has been touched by this damage.” – Rick Warren

First result of sin… now while reading this devotional, I wasn’t aware, or perhaps hasn’t been a thought on He forfeont of my mind, that a lot of hurricanes, tornados, etc are seen as an “act of God,” but what about babies that have been born, their not. Babies are a miracle! Why is the world only seeing things on earth such as this seen as negative and made to be presented in the fashion that their  God breathed???  I don’t understand the thinking of man sometimes….

Second result of sin, death and decay. Previously before sin, there wasn’t an ending and now because of sin, we have death and decay, we have illness, which is why we have doctors, our bodies don’t work as thy should, perfection isn’t obtainable!

“But there’s actually good news: God doesn’t want you to live forever on this planet. He wants you to live forever in a perfect place, not on a planet that’s been broken by sin.” – Rick Warren

My friend, may God be with you and may God bless you! 🙏
