All you need is FAITH

Daily Devotionals 10/17

on October 18, 2016

When a child says “that’s not fair?” I am reminded of what my Heavenly Father must think when I think or say such words aloud… “not fair”….. Fairness is for face value, but not for our judgement and I have to really remember that. I am not here to judge nor am I here to make any one thing about me, if I lose my standards in this, I am sinning. In others words, I am being selfish enough to allow whatever is bothering (spilled milk so to speak) to come ahead of Gods plans, which are greater and more perfect that I can imagine!

What are your thoughts? 🤔
Short route or the long one??? In any given situation in life, when our path is rough and we’re waving the white flag and just hoping and praying the answer is around the bend and we keep moving forward in the journey, looking for whatever answer we are searching for…. that’s when you wonder, “wouldnlt it be easier for us to have a short route, and be done?” We trust God, He CAN do whatever he chooses…. but why would he want to take the short route? It’s like waking eithbyour kid or watching a movie and your sweet child is just sitting there, enjoying your company, not confounded by any electronic device, no restrictions of time to be had or some show to watch, just being with you…. why would you want to shorten that? Don’t you think God sees it that way as well? He wants our walk to be amazing and prolonged as much as possible, not the situation at hand, just our Devine attention to Him!

“My next thing taught me that my purpose is not to stand at center stage, but to support the One who stands at center stage. His plan is always about His book, not mine. The picture finally became abundantly clear to me: it’s only about God.” – Wendy Pope

Contentment is a learning curve, when you’re young, you want the world to cater to you and do it your way and then you have this understanding that, “Wow, world doesn’t really work well in this fashion, now does it?” So, you try to conform to the world only to find that you’re disappointed…. then you turn to God and see that He has better plans for you and you’re continuing to follow a path leading you places you don’t or shouldn’t be…. lead not on your understanding, but from the Fathers. He will lead you to the enlightened path…. allow the Shepherd to lead his flock…. you won’t be disappointed….

“My next thing taught me that my purpose is not to stand at center stage, but to support the One who stands at center stage. His plan is always about His book, not mine. The picture finally became abundantly clear to me: it’s only about God.” – Joyce Meyer

Being Faithful or having Faith is very important….

“1. God is looking for faithful people. – God is physically, visibly, actively, taking the initiative to look for faithful people that he can bless.

2. Faithful people are hard to find. – A lot of people talk the talk, but they don’t really trust God. They trust their credit card instead. They say they believe in God, but they don’t really trust him when it comes to their finances, health, or job. ”

3. Faithfulness is the key to blessing and victory. – 1 John 5:4-5 says, “For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.”

– Rick Warren

So as you see, we (and I mean we all do, no matter who you are, we’re human, our flesh is our worst aspect of our body and leads us) have a lot to learn here and there about Faith! Take a Stand, lean on Him! Let Him fight YOUR battles! Faith isn’t the hard part, it’s letting go of the control you want to continue to have …. letting go of control can be like letting go of the steering wheel… trust Him! Focus on the Words he’s telling you.

Do you have a spoken or unspoken prayer request? Let me know, I would love to pray on your behalf.

God bless you! 🙏🏻
