All you need is FAITH

Daily Devotionals 10/22

Who is your real enemy?

Evil forces? Spiritual warfare? Ourselves? I think we can always say we have an enemy, but he real enemy I’m talking about today, is FEAR! Fear of the unknown, unknown outcome, weather or not we’ll have the money for this and that, be able to pay our bills, find a job, keep our home… those UNSETTLING fears that can keep us up at night.

Friend don’t let this keep you, God has this and as unsettling snd nerve wracking as some days can be, I know who holds my future and who will place my needs before me as they are to be done so…. sure I have to understand I’ll have to work for it, but there are times he’ll make a way for me… he’ll pave a path and the right person at the right time will come along….

Have you been there before?

“You don’t have to be afraid of your unseen enemy. Trust in God, the only One who can defeat the spiritual forces of darkness.” – Joyce Meyer

Tell it to the Lord

Hard times, struggles, loss of a loved one, loss of a job, no loss is ever a good time, but has there been a loss to you and you have felt abandoned by God? Felt like He wasn’t hearing your prayers? You just weren’t praying the RIGHT prayer?

Are there moments you have told God how horrible your situation is? Told him the honesty of how you feel? Even though, He knows all, sees all, hears all? But have you just said it…. out loud?

Let’s say your best friend said something to you and it was hurtful… would you keep this to yourself or tell him/her? You would more than likely tell him/her that something hurt you, upset you or you didn’t like how or what was said… but you would be upfront and honesty…. what about to God… swallow that pride and be honest to Him!

No matter what, open up to God and tell Him what’s going on, as our parents, they may not like everything we have to say… but their going to love is no matter what….

“Jeremiah, too, felt God had forgotten him. But Jeremiah didn’t ignore what he was feeling. He didn’t sugarcoat the situation. He told God what was on his heart. In fact, Jeremiah spent five chapters telling God what he thought about the situation. He told God, “This stinks!” Why would God put that kind of passage in the Bible? He wants you to know that he can handle your anger, your gripes, and your grief. Jeremiah spends an entire book of the Bible blowing off steam. If God was big enough to handle Jeremiah’s pain, he’s big enough to handle yours, too.” – Rick Warren
