All you need is FAITH

Devotional 1/11

on January 12, 2017

The victory we have in Jesus – when our feet hit he floor, we should have the devil saying “Oh no, he/she is awake!”  Move! Say the name of Jesus! Let Satan know he has non earring on your life from here on out! Amen!

“Jesus has defeated sin and death. Now we need to consistently walk in the authority and victory that He provides for us. Then you will be extremely dangerous to the enemy of God.” – Joyce Meyer

You can come Over anytime – God invites us 24/7 to come to Him anytime we choose to do so and he encourages it. So why don’t we take full advantage? We’re busy? Our day is packed with this and that and errands and worries? Oh no, a last minute report or work thing has to be done or kiddos have to do their homework and be out to bed?   What about when you’re quiet in ned, even for 5 minutes, or before you start your day, that first few minutes your laying in bed and stretching, of that happens! Just a min here and there can start to add up to a lot and become second nature that when things in life happen, we stop struggling and start praying! How would that be? An automatic prayer when things get hard! Yes, please, Lord!

“Suppose you have a friend who says, “You know what? You can come over anytime you want to come. You don’t even have to knock because you are welcome anytime, day or night. Just come on in!” Now just think…God is saying that to you, unreservedly, which means you don’t have to be careful or hesitate or wonder if you’ve worn out your welcome.” – Joyce Meyer

God knows we can’t be perfect  – perfection isn’t obtainable, but with God, we can come to Him anytime, day or night. God knows our heart and he knows that we don’t intend to do wrong, but we should also know if we’re listening to Him, he isn’t going to lead us astray either!

“God is calling you to press forward today. Stop living in fear of making mistakes, because everyone makes mistakes, period. God is not asking you to not make mistakes. He’s calling you to press forward, trusting Him to lead you. He’s asking you to call upon Him. Don’t live in fear of your imperfection. Live with faith in God’s perfect plan for you.” – Joyce Meyer

Pursue a life of holiness – living life can be complicated and I think often times we get so lax about it, how we act and what we say and sometimes we don’t even think twice to how our behavior may be viewed…. almost like watching my children, I’ll see something and talk to them about it, just like I’m sure God tries MANY times to talk to me and I’m not really listening intently to Him as I should be…. so how did that make him feel!? I’m sure frustrated, less likely than I would be Om sure, but nonetheless, frustrated because He’s talking and I’m so busy in my own world and mind, I’m not listening!

“I think we need to be a little more careful than we are with how we live. Not that we have to be so careful that we live in fear, but careful in a godly way, not a legalistic way. I urge you today to pursue your purpose of holiness. When faced with tricky decisions, ask God what to do and choose the path of holiness that He has laid out for you. ” – Joyce Meyer

You’re no surprise to God – were everything God imagined and knows us from beginning to end …. knows our pros and cons and tell us what’s going to happen, if he was so led to do so…. He loves us, and has HOPE for us! He’s our encouragement! He fights for us! Follow the signs and look for wonder…..

“Sometimes we go around thinking that God is so disappointed with us all the time. It’s true that we make mistakes. And we’re not supposed to be lighthearted about them, we need to take them seriously. But in spite of our mistakes, God has hope for us and knows that He can change us if we’ll stay close to Him. God’s not disappointed. He’s full of hope where we’re concerned! He believes in us more than we do ourselves.” -Joyce Meyer
