What a beautiful song to show that no matter what, trudge through and keep going. You’re not alone. God is with you each and every step of your life in the walk with Him.
This morning I was invited to attend a new church setting and it was beautiful service. The Pastor just was so moved and had such passion for life and his “job.” But is it really a job when a man loves the church and people he’s preaching to!?
This same man was the man I had not known was the Pastor in previous weeks and was sitting by and he said “Hey, I just love seeing kids and their love of Christ up on the stage. Just so wonderful to see.” Not only to make you feel comfortable as were visiting essentially but to make my husband, a man that has yet to come to Christ, a man that I love so whole heartedly, comfortable. Also, as we were leaving, this man I didn’t know was the Pastor also patted this man on the back and let him with, “I’m so glad you came today. Have a blessed evening.” My husband felt so comforted by this man.
Come today, I found out this man was the Pastor. He saw me and my Dad enter and he looked at me and said, “I’m so glad you could make it this morning.” What a nice feeling to feel so “important” and “accepted” in a moment of unsure and “did I make the right choice to come this morning?” rolling through your mind as you sit away from people you “know.” If that makes any sense…
Change for me, isn’t easy, by any means and my lack of “wanting to go alone” anywhere was definitely relieved with my Dad being there with me. But I secretly was sad, I wanted my husband to come as well, I wanted him to just sit there with me. I wanted him to try something new with me, a church, a possible new home for me and my family.
I know he’s not “comfortable” in a place like this as he wasn’t brought up like this… I’m not comfortable really going alone anywhere and I have had to learn to just GO!!!! Just get up and GO!!! You never know the moment that something a person will say, a touch, a comment, a word will move you to the right direction, the place you need to be, the person you need to meet so that you’re life will move forward in the RIGHT direction, at the RIGHT time and the most perfect way only God can make this mountain move.
This morning, I’ll admit, I asked my husband if he was going to go with me to chuch, he said “no, I don’t feel like it this morning.” I was sad. I was angry. I told him, “I won’t ask you again, I will not make a point to keep asking someone to headstrong, so all about yourself to try something new with me and our family. I will continue to trudge forward and lead our children to the right place and let them make their decisions in life. I will not and cannot keep them from their life nor will I keep them from God and making new friends.”
Anger ~ It will make you say some words you really wish you hadn’t.
But I did mean them. I can’t keep thinking myself alone is going to make a difference in the life of my FAMILY. I can only hope and pray that one day, he’ll make a decision to come with me, and just try to go outside his box.
So today, I got home and had to pray before so because I was still hurt.
I told my hubby, “Hey, you remember that man that starting talking to you and made you feel comfortable and then pat your shoulder before you left and said something to you?” He said “Yah.” I said, “Did you know that was the Pastor?” He looked at me amazed and said, “Really? I had NO idea. Maybe that’s why he made me feel so comfortable, maybe he just knew I needed that.” I said “Yes, maybe, but I thought that was interesting to find out.”
Anyway…. I love my husband. I love my Heavenly father and I know eventually a way will be made…. My son gets baptized next weekend and I’m so excited he had asked Christ in his life. What a great way to spend a Sunday with my son, watching him grow in the faith and have made this decision on his own. PRECIOUS!
Sometimes the person that says “hello” and makes you feel comfortable and pats you on the back isn’t just a spectator, he/ she is actually working alongside God to help you find your way…. Never feel lost or alone, you’re not….
Thank you Heavenly father for this day and everyday. Thank you for your mercy on our lives weather were doing right or wrong. Forgive us of our sins. I pray that you continue to lead me so that I can lead my family Father. I pray that you will guide me where I need to be and help me Father, help me to change, be more accepting, loving, understanding and forgiving the moments I need it the most. Thank you for your precious love and blessing my life more than I deserve. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!
